*NEW* Silver-Filled Findings!Incredible new Addition!! While we've resisted anything Silver Plated in order to offer you the highest quality Silver items, we are pleased to announce the first arrivals of Silver-Filled findings!! Just as Gold-Filled is 10 steps above Gold Plated (in our humble opinion!), Silver-Filled is a great new alternative to Sterling, without stepping all the way to plated. Using the same process that is used for Gold-Filled, Sterling Silver is bonded to the outside of a core of brass. Because it is bonded, it wears well, is of a much higher quality than plated or coated items and is hundreds of times thicker than plated.
We currently have two suppliers, so there is some difference in composition. Items listed as 1/20 are made of 1/20 .925 Sterling over brass. Items listed as 1/10 are made of 1/10 (10% by weight) of .925 Silver or better, over brass.
